Reasons why every woman should masturbate

Have you ever wondered why we as women should masturbate (especially if you have a partner)?

I always wondered about this as my personal opinion and behaviour was "Why would I do this when he can do it for me?"

WRONG!

As I have said in the past and will say again,

"If your not having sex with you, how can you expect anyone else to want to have sex with you!"

So now its time to look at a bunch of reasons why YOU should masturbate and I will make it as plain and simple as I can.

You become more comfortable with your body
Here is the deal, the more you know your body the better you are at instructing your partner on where to go hunting for that sometimes mysterious spot that ends in an orgasm. Your pussy doesn't come with a manual just like a baby doesn't pop out with an instruction manual so ladies know where all your points of pleasure exist, instruct your partner and enjoy the increased new found bliss that comes with it.

Your future partner will commend you for it
Do you know how hard it is to navigate every different vagina? I bet you didn't. Its not like a guys anatomy. Ours is more complicated ladies with different sensations in different places for all of us.
Its NOT a one size fits all concept where a partner learns one road map and it suits all women. So learn what makes you tick and talk talk talk about it!

It can drastically improve your sex life
When you know where to navigate and pass that information on, whether that is through subtle hints and tips or just a blunt "show an tell" session, trust me, there is no way your sex life can't instantly improve.

Great tension reliever
Stressed? Can't sleep? Simply...masturbate. Now depending on that stress level may depend on how many times you need to do this to 'take the edge off' however masturbation has always been a great stress relief. I mean think about, don't you occasionally say "Thank God" after you've experienced a Big O? I do!

Definitely helps with the zzzzz
Now I know that its not uncommon that when I have sex at night I can end up wide awake (statistically this is common within women), however when I am stressed out and go for a Big O I find that that release in tension (like I said above) helps me to visit la la land much faster.

Increases your happiness
How would you like to have a natural mood enhancer? Did you know that orgasms release a bunch of chemicals into your system like endorphins, oxytocin and our favourite...dopamine, which are all instant uplift mood enhancers?
So forget the hardcore gym workout and medical drugs and opt for a series of intense orgasms instead to lighten up your day.

There are toys to assist in the exploration process
I could list 20 reasons why you are not having sex or masturbating right now. One of them is you never experience orgasms during sex (and a biggy for 85% of women who don't orgasm with penetration sex). So why not instead of letting your fingers do the walking add a new playmate toy to search, discover and vibrate you into a new level playing field. Toys are also great for those who have cultural, religious or physical disabilities to experience a whole new level of pleasure without technically getting your hands dirty. I have never heard of a woman not being pleasured with the right toy so I dare you to try!

Amazingly relieves menstrual tension
Personally I've never been a big fan of having sex during 'that time of the month' however I have noticed that an orgasm has definitely alleviated the pain I experience at this time. When you orgasm you experience contractions increasing the blood flow and in-turn easing your cramps. Due to the mess factor I suggest finding your favourite toy and combining that with some special shower time to get the job done. Would you prefer a hot water bottle or an orgasm? Think about it.

Keeps your body sexual
So your in a sexual hiatus for some reason. With masturbating you are not only keeping the elasticity and tissues in your private parts working, you are also increasing the blood flow to that area. Sex for women happens in the brain as we all know and by masturbating we are keeping that part of our brain active (imaginary and sensory) so when we get to bringing in a new partner to the scenario its like no time has passed. Here is a tip: the more sex you have the more sex you want!

How would you like multiple orgasms
So some of you have never had one. Why not try multiple. Did you know that when you have your first orgasm its easy to back it up with another one within minutes? Again a lot of women only experience this the first time after a little toy play cause lets face it...our hands get tired!

Why not?
Thats right...why not. I know some of us have cultural and religious beliefs that get in the way of having sex before marriage however since when have they stated you can't orgasm before marriage? So let your fingers do the walking and hold clear a vision of your future partners expression when you know what does and doesn't work the first time you get naked between the sheets.

It feels bloody amazing
Did I mention is F'n fantastic! You can keep your walks in the park thank you. I'll take a mind blowing orgasm any day. Your head will feel light, even a little dizzy like, your breath will quicken, your cheeks will go naturally rosie and you'll feel simply amazing!

The iPhone-controlled sex toy you can turn on from anywhere

Written by Jennifer Wright

Running errands doesn’t have to be boring — just ask Amanda Chatel. The 36-year-old writer recently went out to pick up her laundry, visit Duane Reade and grab a drink at a local bar — all while wearing a new vibrator called the We-Vibe 4 Plus. Because it can be controlled remotely by an app, her husband — back at their apartment — turned it on and off as she went about her errands.

“[It] reminded me of my first Brazilian wax. I was overly aware of that part of my body, and felt like I was walking sex. But the difference was that I clearly remember strutting after my first Brazilian, and We-Vibe doesn’t allow for such a swing of my hips,” recalls Chatel. “I felt too much swing would result in it falling out of place, down my pant leg and onto the ground. Then I wouldn’t feel like walking sex anymore, but instead a horrified woman staring at her vibrator on the sidewalk.”

Sex toys are not just for singles — or the bedroom — anymore. The We-Vibe 4 is not the first of its kind — other vibrators, like Oh-MiBod, can be remotely controlled by app as well.

But it claims to be the first hands-free device out there — it can easily fit under clothing — so now, anyone can get those good vibrations going, even when they’re not in the same room as their partner.

To access it, both partners download the free We-Vibe 4 Plus app from the iTunes App Store and register the vibrator. When your partner asks to connect, you can send him or her a link that enables them to control the device. He or she can choose from various vibrations, such as “peak” or “bounce.” The U-shaped toy is just three inches long and costs $210.

Although Chatel and her husband bought one only a few weeks ago, the East Village resident says the We-Vibe 4 Plus has already added a certain buzz to her everyday tasks.

“First [we] tried it together in the apartment with the remote control,” she says. “Then, we added the app to the mix and started experimenting with how far away I could go.”

“It’s especially great in long-distance relationships,” says We-Vibe’s global passion ambassador Tristan Weedmark. “If you’re in New York and your partner is in Taiwan, it can boost intimacy.”

Relationship expert Andrea Syrtash agrees. “Dirty talk, video chats and photos can turn on a couple who are trying to stay connected from a distance,” she says. “But the We-Vibe adds another — very physical — dimension.”

Using the app can also allow your significant other to take control — and experience the thrill of doing something naughty in public — without risking being too obvious.

“As we saw with the appetite for ‘Fifty Shades of Grey,’ people are interested in trying new things,” Weedmark says. “Couples [can] bring foreplay into their dinner dates. The female will wear the We-Vibe [at a restaurant], and her partner will control it on the app.”

But if you dare to adopt this approach, choose your timing carefully. “Don’t turn the app on and off when one of you is in a business meeting or a public place where it may be a little uncomfortable — or unprofessional,” cautions Syrtash.

Indeed. “When picking up my laundry, it was turned on and it was slightly audible,” Chatel recalls. “I passed it off as my phone, because I felt I had to say something.”

And, she adds, “Snug undies help.”

7 Safe, Sizzling Sex Positions for Pregnant Women

Pregnancy is one of the most hormonal times in a woman's life. You're up, down, happy, sad, and ... horny? Yup, you read that right! Many women experience a nice big spike in their sex drives when they're pregnant. Unfortunately, many women and their partners shy away from sex during pregnancy out of fear, or just because they aren't sure how to work with that big, round belly.

So, what's a girl to do when she's hornier than a Viking's helmet with a bun in the oven? First, she's got to realize that there are a number of myths surrounding sex during pregnancy, many of which aren't true. Let's take a look at a couple of the most common ones.

Having an orgasm during pregnancy can stimulate pre-term labor.
When a woman has an orgasm, her uterus contracts and a hormone called oxytocin, the hormone responsible for triggering labor contractions, is also released. Because of this, it's no surprise that many people believe that having an orgasm can trigger pre-term labor, or even a miscarriage. Thankfully, this isn't the case in healthy pregnancies. In fact, because of the increased blood flow in the pelvic region you may even experience better orgasms than ever before. Don't pass this up!

A man's penis can poke the baby's head.

Um, no. While he'd probably like to believe that his monstrous member is large enough to reach all the way into your uterus, this is an anatomical impossibility. First of all, while he may bump into your cervix from time to time, the cervix is anywhere from 2.5 to 4.5 centimeters thick. Baby is also protected on all sides by water and amniotic fluid.

Sperm can reach the fetus.

During a healthy pregnancy, the cervix is sealed by a mucus plug, so there's no way that ejaculate can enter the uterus. In most cases, this plug stays in place until the pregnancy reaches full term and the early stages of labor begin. Even after you lose the mucus plug, it's still usually considered safe to have sex, since the fetus is still surrounded by the amniotic sac.

Sex during pregnancy can hurt the mother or the baby.

Sex during all stages of pregnancy is usually safe and rather enjoyable for most women. In fact, unless your doctor advises against it, there's absolutely no reason why you can't have sex when pregnant. Just don't try to get too tricky; the baby's well protected, but a pregnant body is often less nimble and more susceptible to injury.
As the baby bump grows, however, traditional sex positions can become somewhat uncomfortable for the mother or even dangerous for the fetus. The top sex positions when pregnant are usually the ones that minimize stress on the woman's abdomen, which can help prevent injury and discomfort. The following sex positions have been considered to be the safest and most comfortable sex positions by expecting mothers and doctors alike.

Any and All (Gentle) Woman on Top Positions

By positioning themselves on top, women can eliminate any pressure on the baby belly. Not only is this much more comfortable for you, but it's also considered to be a little safer for your baby. As an added bonus, most woman-on-top positions give women more control and easier access to the clitoris. The cowgirl and reverse cowgirl positions are the most common woman-on-top positions, but the rocking horse and yogi positions are also great.

Spooning

The spooning position requires that both partners lie on their sides, with the man's chest against the woman's back. This way your partner can thrust into you from behind and massage your clitoris with his fingers or a vibrator. Although this position takes the pressure off of your belly, you may want to stash a few pillows under it for extra support.

Doggy Style

Doggy style is one of the most popular sex positions during pregnancy for a number of reasons. First of all, when in a doggy style position, there's no pressure on your belly. Also, the angle of penetration is better for stimulating the G-spot, and also allows access to the clitoris. However, once your baby belly starts getting bigger, you may find that the weight of your little one hanging down can be a bit much in this position. As an alternative, you can try the leapfrog position, which requires you to support yourself with your forearms on the bed. This will take the weight off your back and enable you to place a few pillows under your belly.

The Cross

The cross sex position is great for pregnant women and their partners because it requires very little effort. To get into this position, have your man lie on his side. You can then lie on your back perpendicular to him, with your legs draped over his waist. Keep in mind, though, that if you have a very large belly, you shouldn't stay in this position for too long, as it can interfere with the flow of blood and nutrients through placenta.

The Tabletop

If you're looking for a quickie in the kitchen, the tabletop's the sex position for you! This position requires you to sit on a sturdy, waist-high tabletop and for your man to stand in front of you. As he thrusts in and out, you can support yourself by leaning back on your arms or wrapping your arms around his neck. This position can also be adapted so you're sitting on the bed with him kneeling in front of you.

Scissors

Like the cross, the scissors position requires very little effort on the woman's part, so it's a great option if you're dead tired but still want a romp in the hay. This position requires you to lie on your side and lift your top leg. Your man can then straddle your bottom leg and support you top leg on his shoulder as he thrusts into you. Again, you may also want to place some pillows under your belly for support.

69 Position

Sometimes you may not be able to have sex when pregnant, or you just might not want to. Don't rule out a steamy session with your lover, though. Consider getting into the 69 position, either on the top or the bottom, whichever makes you more comfortable. An orgasm feels just as good - and sometimes even better - when it's a product of oral sex.

Get Down With Your Pregnant Self

There's not need to cut out sex when you're pregnant. In fact, many women report having some of the best sex of their lives. Chances are you've probably already been banned from a few of life's other great pleasures, such as wine, coffee, some cheeses and even sushi. Isn't it nice to know that sex isn't one of them?

Blended Orgasms – What, How and Why?

Written by Donna Turner

It’s no secret that when you mix two brilliant things, the result is often more than the sum of its parts. This is absolutely true of orgasms: a clitoral orgasm is brilliant; a G-spot orgasm is incredible. But combine the two and you have a recipe for a mind-blowing mixture of complex sensations.

What Is a Blended Orgasm?

While ‘blended orgasm’ might sound like some kind of orgasm smoothie (and I’ll be first in line when someone invents those), it is in fact a broad name for an orgasm that’s brought on by orgasmically stimulating more than one erogenous zone at the same time.
For example, people generally agree that there are two primary types of orgasm for women: the clitoral orgasm and the G-spot orgasm. There are of course many other more subtle and personal types of orgasm (and since everyone is a little different, you could reasonably argue that there are at least as many types of orgasm as there are women on the planet), but let’s not overcomplicate things for now.
The point is that a blended orgasm, which is a combination of clitoral and G-spot pleasure, is at least twice as intense as either of those orgasms by themselves.

How Do I Have a Blended Orgasm?

A blended orgasm is a more “advanced” kind of climax, because it requires you knowing your body (or your partner knowing your body) quite well.
It’s a strange thing to consider that even now, with all our medical and scientific expertise, there is still debate and confusion over female anatomy. Many women, for example, are unaware that their clitoris is not simply that little external bundle of nerves we know and love so much, but in fact has “legs” that extend around the vaginal opening and then inside the vagina (in fact, there was a paper published recently that argued that the clitoris and the G-spot are not distinct organs, but part of the same complex of tissue – in short, that the G-spot was the “back” of the clitoris).
At any rate, the point is that when you start paying attention to the entire clitoris rather than just the external part, while stimulating your G-spot at the same time, the result is likely to be a far more intense orgasm than you might be used to.

What Do I Need For A Blended Orgasm?

You don’t really need anything: if you have patience and some time, then your hands or those of your partner will provide good results.
That said, the most efficient way to reach a blended orgasm is by using toys. The more aroused you are, the better and easier it will be, so make sure you take lots of time building up, spoiling yourself, teasing yourself.
Then, when you start to feel yourself getting close, apply a powerful vibe to your clitoris
NALONE CURVE and another,

Use lots of personal moisturizer too.

Find a rhythm, alternating between the pressure you’re applying to your clit and your G-spot, experimenting with slightly different angles and intensities. Try to apply the vibrations all over and around your clitoris, tracing its length inside yourself. Continue to tease and prolong the pleasure – the longer you delay your orgasm, the more intense it will be.
When the blended orgasm finally overwhelms you, you’ll notice the muscles contract all the way along the inside of your vagina; it’s this depth that gives the blended orgasm its intensity.

To Sum Up

Practice makes perfect, so the more you experiment and indulge your body with blended orgasms, the easier and more powerful they’ll become. Exercising your Kegels will also help to strengthen the muscles you use in this kind of orgasm, which in turn will intensify the sensations even more.

So good luck, and most importantly, have fun.

6 Surefire Ways to Get in the Mood

Recapture the feeling of the first days of your relationship; remember that bygone time when you could spend an entire day in bed together? There are plenty of ways to get back there, and following some of our handy advice will have you both back in the mood for makin’ love.

Hit the Gym

Simply put, when you feel good about your body image just good about yourself in general, you’ll be more likely in the mood for some sexual aerobics.

Your post-exercise surge in energy, and all the feel-good endorphins in your system will make sex a more attractive option when you’re winding down from that spin class or a trot on the treadmill.

Pro tip; head to the gym with your partner – seeing their body go through a workout is sure to get your worked up, and there will be less clothes for the eventual undressing to follow.

Get Comfortable

Look to your immediate surroundings, as they play a big part in how much you’re in the mood. One important thing to pay attention to is the thermostat, because according to research out of the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, something as simple as cold feet can come between a woman and her orgasm.

“At the beginning of the trial, only 50% of our female subjects were able to reach orgasm,” said study author Gert Holstege, M.D., PhD, “we learned that they were uncomfortable because they had cold feet. We gave them socks, and 80% reached orgasm.

Do Some Housework

Crossing off the niggling little tasks on your to-do list is actually quite satisfying, and that clearer mind state it creates will make you more open to enjoying sex. According to sex therapist Ian Kerner, PhD “In order for women to relax into arousal and experience orgasm, the parts of the brain that associate with outside stressors must deactivate during sex,”

So do yourself a favor and make use of your elbow grease – you’ll thank us later!

Relax Together

Whatever you do to relax and set your mind at ease, do it together with your partner. If time permits, take a warm bath together or go out for a walk after a meal. The more relaxed and de-stressed you are as a couple will make it easier for you to get in the mood for making love.

Take 10 Minutes

Those having trouble with getting in the mood are people who want sex, but are perhaps not giving themselves a chance to.
Dr. Kerner states that ‘Even if you’re not in the mood, give yourself 10 minutes to give sex a shot.’ This will give your body a chance to catch up and desire what your mind wants so badly.

Get Close (for at least 30 seconds)

Studies show that holding your partner close for 30 seconds or more triggers the release of oxytocin, the hormone that emboldens trust and sexual desire between intimately familiar people. And while you’re both close, take a few deep breaths, as Dr. Kerner reminds us that “If you like your guy’s scent – and most women do, for biological reasons – it will usually function as an aphrodisiac.”

Getting intimate with the one closest to you does wonders for your mental space, and the facts are in that sex is great for your health – but what’s even better than all this? It feels good!

Reaching Climax During Lovemaking

Did you know that our leading supplier LELO’s Wellbeing Experts write a monthly column in Wellness Magazine?
Well, considering that it’s a Sweden-only publication written entirely in Swedish, we don’t blame you if you’ve never heard of it. Every month, reader questions are passed to our experts, who give their advice on sex-related issues that are on the minds of many.

Hi LELO!

My boyfriend comes pretty quickly when we’re having sex, and this leaves me having my orgasms in ways other than penetration. While not a complaint per-se, I’d like to be able to climax while we’re having sex.

Is there anything you can suggest to either help him last longer, or are there any tricks or moves to speed up the process for me?

Marie

Marie,

So it seems your boyfriend is finishing too quickly for you both to enjoy the main event, but what about the pre-game warm up?

Men and women are very different creatures, sexually speaking, and there’s a state of arousal called the ‘orgasmic plateau’, where, in both sexes, orgasm is imminent. It takes women considerably longer to reach this stage than men, so if you’re looking for more mutually-timed orgasms, we suggest a little forward thinking when it comes to foreplay.

You both need to spend some more time focusing on what comes before the actual act of sex itself, getting you ‘revved up’, so to speak, so that you’re as close as you can be to attaining an orgasm during penetrative sex.

Try incorporating a small external vibrator like NEA, ALIA or MIA 2  that can be used easily by you and your partner to get you to your plateau in a fast and fun way.
If your issue is that during lovemaking you get close, so close, right to the edge of climax – only to have him finish before you, try adding some extra ‘oomph’ to your intercourse.

There exist vibrators that you or he are able to wear during sex that will provide you with a bit extra rumble to get you over the edge of that plateau and tumbling into ‘orgasm valley’ (not a real term, but it works).

Try something like TOR 2 – a vibrating ring he can wear around his member that will not only supply external vibrations for you, but the gentle constriction of the ring can result in extra stamina for him – making it a sensual win/win situation!
