LELO Wins Top Prize at 2014 A’ Design Awards

Great news! Our  personal massager ORA™ has won the Platinum Trophy at the A’ Design Awards, the highest honor given at the awards, held this year on April 12th in Como, Italy.

ORA™, our latest product, is designed to closely simulate the unique sensations of oral sex for women. This latest victory marks our third time being honored by an authoritative body in high design after we won the Red Dot Design award in 2012 and 2013.
Other winners included Nike, Vodafone and Speedo, and were chosen by a panel of academic and professional experts on product design based on innovation, usability, presentation and ergonomics. Needless to say, ORA™ was a shoe-in from the word ‘go’.
We’re delighted with the result, especially since we only launched ORA™ in January. It immediately captured interest by offering the most realistic sensations akin to receiving oral sex, while the first promotional video for the product gained over four hundred thousand views in less than three weeks.
Lelo CEO Miroslav Slavic said; ‘Many thanks to A’ Design and all of the judges for bestowing such a great honor on our ORA™ personal massager. It is awards like this and all of the overwhelmingly positive feedback we’ve received from customers that further confirm just how amazing ORA™ is, and how totally unique it is from every pleasure product on the market today.’
We’d like to thank everyone involved, and we’d especially like to thank our loyal customers for supporting us and spreading the word about ORA™ and the pleasure it can offer.

5 Female Erogenous Zones

So you think you know all the right spots to turn her on? So you consider yourself a pleasure point pro? Just like men have some unlikely erogenous areas, women also have some secret zones that could do with some teasing to make foreplay even more fantastic, or to focus on during a romantic massage when she just wants a tender touch.

Her Mons
It’s an unfamiliar name for many people, but many more are familiar with the area; the mons pubis is the area directly above her vagina where pubic hair grows. A light touch on this area can be very stimulating sexually, as you tease by getting oh so close to her sweet spot while caressing this often-overlooked zone.

Her Scalp
If the brain is a woman’s biggest erogenous zone, is that why a scalp massage feels so good?

Just kidding (probably). Both men’s and women’s scalps are covered with nerve endings that make them very receptive to touch, and stimulating them the right way will flood your system with feel-good hormones like dopamine and serotonin.  Scalp massages are easiest when the recipient’s hair is dry, when you can trace your fingernails lightly over their skin, or during a shared bath when their hair is thoroughly wet and conditioner is applied for some extra viscosity.

Her Lips
Of course some smooching is a great place to start on the road to her arousal, but even kissing can fall into routine territory if it’s all the same kind of kisses throughout the session. Get things started by tracing a fingertip around the outside of her lips before even starting to kiss, and when you do start with the smooches, vary the strength and intensity, alternating between light, deep, short, long – all kinds.

Her Knees
It may sound ticklish, but the right touch on or behind her knees can send her spiraling into arousal, which is all the better for the gentleman administering said touch.

Light touches or kisses around her kneecap are a good starting point, and it not too ticklish, behind her knees as well. If she is too ticklish for a light touch behind her knees, try a firm touch with a knee rub (don’t forget the massage oil!) that will stimulate this sensitive area without leaving her laughing at every touch.

Her Neck & Shoulders
Between laptop cases, purses, baby bags and gym bags, a woman’s shoulders and neck is under a constant strain, and if there’s one thing that’s better than getting home and putting down your bag, it’s a light touch that soothes a sore section. The lightest touch of them all is a kiss, which you can do all along the back of her spine from her hairline to the nape of her neck – throw in some hot breaths and watch her stress (and clothing) melt away in no time!

Random Sex Facts You Didn’t Know

So you know everything there is to know about sex, do you? You’ve covered all the ins and outs of the ol’ in-and-out? Been around the block so many times that there’s a street named after you?
Hopefully you’re not so wise as to be forever unsurprised.

Anything worth taking pleasure in is a lifelong pursuit of wisdom in itself, and we’d be surprised if you knew every one of the following sex facts on our list; so strap in and get ready to take notes, because school is now in session!

The Average Erect Penis is 5 to 5.7 Inches Long
Bet you thought 6 inches was the normal size, didn’t you? Well, that fabled figure of 6 inches is one that’s been rounded up for many years now (most likely by guys), which admittedly is not the most surprising statistic we’ve got, considering that…

…Your Vagina Also Grows During Arousal – A Lot!
Regularly (read; when you’re not turned on), an average vagina is three to four inches long. When you’re in the mood for sex however, it stretches to 200% its normal size!

Her Orgasm Lasts 4 Times Longer than His
While it may take a woman longer to get there, when she arrives at climax it’s a worthwhile journey. This is because compared to a man’s orgasm, which lasts an average of a paltry 6 seconds, a woman’s orgasm can go on for as long as 20 seconds! High fives, ladies! Solemn nods, gentlemen.

Good news, right? But hold on a minute there, because…

…Two-thirds of Women have Faked It
And by ‘it’, we of course mean an orgasm.

Seriously? That kind of false reinforcement isn’t going to ensure your satisfaction in the long term if he thinks what he’s doing is getting you off. If you’ve got a partner who’s truly interested in pleasing you, and you’re a big fan of pleasure yourself, let them know what it takes to reach your big O.

Women Report 4 Sex Partners in their Lifetime. Men Report 7
The American Centers for Disease Control estimate that women’s total median of lifetime sexual partners is 4 compared to a man’s 7, but there’s a bit more to this stat than first meets the eye.

First off, men are much more likely to exaggerate when it comes to sex compared to women, but this is in part due to what an individual’s definition of ‘sex’ even is in the first place. Women tend to have a more complex relationship with sex and intimacy than men, making their definition a bit more involved and harder-defined. In any case, it’s worth keeping in mind that these figures are medians, meaning there are more or less on either side.

We’ll end the lesson here for now and let you study up on your own –the homework is the best part!
